A Pattern of Tyranny & the War Machine of the West

peace hand

The political game of the United States has become a spectator sport for the People of a once great country.  We watch in the comfort of our homes as our politicians feign leadership, while wielding a war machine that was never meant to be.   On the heels of shattered promises, we find ourselves in familiar territory as President Obama makes his case for war once again.  A case that eerily echoes the controversy of Bush’s WMDs and Iraqi despotism at the beginning of this dysfunctional story.

But unlike the coalition of his predecessor in 2003, Obama’s recent, seemingly strong, coalition of support now wavers in the wake of a devastating defeat in the halls of the British Commons. Britain’s lawmakers have decided not to follow us into our attack on Syria.  So why the change of heart?  Could it be Britain and the rest of the world have begun to recognize the inconsistencies of United States regurgitated rhetoric.  Or maybe it is due to the deplorable decision-making of our so-called democratic practitioners.

In either case the world now waits for the evidence we hold against Syria.  All of us have been promised this evidence, a so-called proof that has apparently laid the groundwork for these future strikes on Syria, but in our foolish anticipation for the smoking gun, what we shall soon find is that the United States is the only one whose finger is on any trigger. A lone gunman, on a global stage, in a perilous drama of playback politics, and recycled rhetoric. It’s players, playing for an audience of fools and fanatics, acting out the script given to them and those who came before. A bitter cast of thugs and thieves driving a war machine that no longer represents the best interests of the American People and the world.

The People of the world are waking up and recognizing that United States aggression around the globe is not rooted in heroism but hubris. In our fight for Freedom, it is not Freedom we dispense but rather it is tyranny, a tyranny that continues to impose its will upon the world in the pursuit of selfish gain.  A tyranny that represents the worst parts of human nature and neglects to nurture the best aspects of what humans can be.

So let the dogma of United States democracy, no longer close its doors to dissent, and let us stand in opposition to the warmongering tactics of our lost leaders.  Protest war proliferation, call your Congress, speak out against attacking Syria , stand up for Liberty and fight against the despotism of overgrown military establishments such as this one. If our capacity for peace was developed as well as our capacity for war, just imagine what we might achieve. John Lennon once said “War is Over if You Want It.”  The Fight for Freedom is ours to fight, We the People have the power to drive the decisions of our Leaders but it requires action and to win the fight we must break our silence.

“Overgrown military establishments are under any form of government inauspicious to liberty, and are to be regarded as particularly hostile to liberty” George Washington.

The World is on the brink of a global conflict, one of the likes the world has never experienced before.  Public Enemy coined the phrase “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised“, but little did they, nor the governments of the world realize that the future of journalism would be at the hands of the populace.  There is a revolution on the horizon  that is growing by the second and we will all get a chance to see it in real-time.

China and Japan are in the midst of a heated land dispute which includes the neighboring Southeast Asian countries.  Syria is engulfed in a crisis with Turkey which the U.S. seems to be knee-deep in.  The U.S. continues their drone attack program killing ambiguous enemies and innocent civilians simultaneously in the Middle East.  Israel and Iran seem to be spiraling into a disaster which becomes more childish (link) as each day passes.  The U.S. has its finger on the trigger with Iran and China continues its silent economic warfare upon the world market.  The governments of the world i.e. the PhilippinesRussiaCambodiaChina, the United States and many more continue their assault on internet freedom and the freedom of speech.   This global conflict could become a World War, but one that not only includes country against country but also citizens pitted against their respective governments.  This conflict will deliver the world a new paradigm and it is up to us, as to how this new idea will be constructed and distributed.  So speak up, before it is too late.

The proliferation of protests throughout the world is on a larger scale than any we have seen before.  The “people power” movements are unifying around the world like never before through the use of social media.  No longer are the pockets of progress isolated to any single country or people.  All of these movements have their own respective agendas but there is a common theme which serves as the undercurrent of this grand global conflict.  This common theme is the people’s wish to be free of oppressive government in all of its forms the world over.  We the people of the world in all of our forms are beginning to realize that no longer do our governments represent the true nature of who we are or what we want out of life.  There is a clear and distinct disconnect between us and our so-called controllers.  They continue to push for war and conflict, but in our hearts we know that it is without purpose or cause.  We are being told by crusty old men and fear-mongers that we must fight each other for the greater good.  But, as each day passes and the flow of information continues to pass by our doors, we begin to see the hypocrisy of our hierophants. Their greater good is not of country or code but rather reflects greed and dominance.  It is a greed which continues consuming the entire world from within and will inevitably lead to our demise.

War is Over! If you want it.”  But, we must stand up and show our “leaders” that we no longer need them to act as our father.  Their conflicts of capitalism no longer can capture the hearts of the people, because we have all had a taste of truth and it is far more sweeter than the victories of oligarchs and dictators.  We must make it clear to them that their wars are not our own.  The governments of the world should not control, but they should rather assist the people in achieving their pursuits.  They are not fathers, but siblings that should look to us for guidance.  No longer should we allow ourselves to become servants of sacrifice, we are the people and it is our right to choose the fate of the world.  “War is Over! If you want it!”  But you have to want it.  We all should want it, because our connections are far greater than any internet can achieve.  We are cut from a common cloth and our responsibility is to each other, not to the conflicts of commerce and control.

“War is Over! If you want it” said the late John Lennon, and I am saying it here, again.
